As part of efforts to help cushionthe effect of the dreaded coronavirus, the Arigbodi foundation has donated food stuff worth millions of naira to the council of women in Isiokolo, the headquarters of Ethiope East local government council area of Delta State and to his immediate family.
The items presented are, 80 bags of 10kg rice, 40 bags of 10kg beans and one cow respectively.
Presenting the food items to the women on behalf of the president of Arigbodi foundation, Olorogun Broderick Arigbodiwho was represented by Hon. Chief Ejuvwekpokpo Oghorodi, said, “The foundation is presenting these food items to the council of women as a show of humanitarian services, and also to help them cushion the effect of the lockdown”.
He also hinted that, the gesture is also to help compliment the state government efforts in providing palliatives to the people.
Speaking further, Hon. Ejuvwekpokpo called on the women and other people in the local government area to obey the state government directives by wearing the face masks and maintain social distancing to help curtailed the spread of coronavirus.
Receiving the item on behalf of the women, the most elderly women, Mrs. Avweyevu and Mrs. Ejakpometaghor Imene, thanked the foundation especially the President, Olorogun Broderick Arigbodi for the kind gesture, and pray God to bless him.
Also, Pa. Okurekpo and Mr. Joseph Akpojivi who received the items on behalf of the family also commended the chairman of the foundation for his concern for the family, assuring that they will equitably distribute the items to each and everybody in the family who are l
