Foundation provides free medical, surgical services to Agbarho

THE president of Onome Omobolaji Foundation (OOOF), Mrs. Olayimika Bolo has explained why OOOF decided to embark on free medical and surgical aids to the people of Agbarho in Delta Central Senotarial District of Delta State. The foundation was founded in honour of Miss Onome Omobolaji OBADA, daughter of retired Major General Orho E OBADA, OON, OFR.
Speaking at a press briefing at the country home of General Obada, rtd Mrs Bolo said the mantra of the OOOF foundation is spreading love to the less previlige who cannot afford hospital bills. “Our key objectives is to focus on access affordable and availability for health care, education and poverty alleviation.”
The programme according to Mrs Bolo will run in Agbarho from 1st to 8th December, 2019 adding: We intend to provide free medical and surgical services to about 5000 people. The outreach is in partnership with Pro-Health International.”
Speaking at the press briefing, Major General Orho E Obada OON OFR Rtd expressed joy for the organizer of the foundation in honour of his darling daughter Miss Onome Omobolaji OBADA whom he said lived a very short life and became a light in the whole of Agbarho community and the State. He said the foundation is dedicated to Onome for what she stood for she loved people with passion and also stood for the community. She graduated as an accountant and worked with UBA Bank Plc. She had sickle cell anemia. “We tried to save her, but could not survived it.”
General Obada said the dream she had for the community is what the foundation is showcasing today, adding that this will be a stepping stone for many great things that will come to Agbarho.
The coordinator of Pro_health International, Dr Samson Egbunu said this programme is brought to the doorstep of the rural dwellers who cannot afford medical and surgical bill. He said the OOOF is in perternership with Pro-Health International Which brings free healthcare, free medical and surgical services to Agbarho in Delta Central Senatorial District of Delta State, adding that the programme is taken place at the Agbarho General Hospital and the Obada Ranch, all in Agbarho community.
The services the foundation is offering includes general surgery, provision of eye lens for those with vision disability adding that they will also provide Dental services, gynaecological services and alot more.
The President General of Agbarho Kingdom, Chief Engr Igho Odiphri, expressed happiness that this programme of free medical treatment is taken place in Agbarho.
The traditional ruler of Agbarho Kingdom, HRM Onokpite William said he was happy that this programme is happening for the first time in Agbarho during his reign as the Osuivie of Agbarho Kingdom. He enjoined Agbarho sons and daughters to emulate the OOOF Foundation and come home to invest their business.
