NDDC: Onokpite, group condemn Rita Lori for dragging Okumagba to court
By Ese Adagbra
URHOBO youth leader and chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Comrade Edafe Onokpite and President of Urhobo Rebirth Movement of Nigeria, Mr Jeremiah Omodibo have condemned the action of Chief Rita Lori for dragging Olorogun Bernard Okumagba, Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and others to court over their appointment by President Mohammadu Buhari.
Onokpite who described the action of Chief Rita Lori as shameful and disgraceful said Olorogun Bernard Okumagba is from Warri South local government area, which is an oil producing area.
He said her action is borne out of her envy and hatred for Urhobo, calling on the President to ignore her antics.
The President of Urhobo Rebirth Movement of Nigeria, Mr Jeremiah Omodibo said that, he has been expecting it, but the unfortunate thing is that, she is fighting everybody when it is clear that her action is against Urhobo and not Olorogun Bernard Okumagba as a person.
He pointed out that, President Buhari is aware of the politics going on and the antics of Rita Lori over the appointment made to the NDDC board, urging him to disregard her completely, because Olorogun Bernard Okumagba is from oil producing area, and that is what the NDDC Act says.
He said that Rita Lori’s case is dead on arrival, adding that, she is on her own and it is not the Itsekiri race that is beating the drum of anti Urhobo crusade.
