THE fifth provost of Delta State School of Health Technology since its establishment in 1992, Chief (Dr) Mrs. Augustina Erah has described the Delta State Governor, Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa as the most committed governor to all sectors, arms of government and individuals amongst the different governors in Nigeria.
This statement was made by the Provost while speaking with newsmen in her office recently.
Speaking further, she said, “though I am over twenty years in the school as a staff and now about nine months old as the head (Provost) of the school, I must confess that from the day of the establishment of the school in 1992 to the time and date when Governor Okowa took over as governor of Delta State, the school has never had it so good and easier as it is now”.
“The school therefore gives Okowa kudos and a pat on his back for his love, commitment and care, appealing to him to keep it up and hoping for the early signing into law, the up-grade of the school to a College of Health, Science and Technology status in the best interest of the school, students, Ofuoma Community, Ughelli Kingdom and the State at large”.
She thanked the Government of Delta State, Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa in particular for deeming it fit to give her the opportunity to serve as the Provost of the school, promising not to disappoint, specially the Government of Delta State, Commissioner for Health, her husband, Chief Erah, Chief Amori, management, students and the host Ofuoma community.
She further thanked the Chairman of the Governing Board, Hon. Prince Chris Oharisi and his board members for their understanding and concern for the up-grading of the school to college, appealing to the Chairman, Dr. Oharisi, members of the board, Ughelli monarch and the Commissioner of Health amongst others, not to relent in their efforts to ensure that the governor sign into law the upgrading of the School to College of Health, Science and Technology.
She prayed God to give Governor Okowa the wisdom, protection and more revenue to increase the subvention of the school to enable it boost her entrepreneur projects the school has already embarked upon.
