Traditional rulers, others praise Abe 1 over transformation of Uvwie .

Some highly esteemed traditional rulers and distinguished personalities have praised HRM Dr Emmanuel Ekemejewa Sideso (JP) OON, Abe 1, Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom over the rapid transformation of the area since he ascended the throne.

The traditional rulers and personalities made the commendation in separate media chats with journalists during the 12th coronation anniversary of the Uvwie monarch at the palace of the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom recently.

Those who spoke include the second vice chairman of Delta State Traditional Rulers Council, HRM Pere of Akugbene Kingdom, HRM Owhawha 11, the Okobaro of Ughievwen Kingdom, Owhoru 1, the Ovie of Udu Kingdom,and HRM Ibuka 1, the Ovie of Ozoro Kingdom.

Others are the former President of Nigerian Bar Association ( NBA) Chief Thompson Okpoko (SAN), Reverend Father Dr Ambrose Oghenejode Abaka, the parish priest of St Jude Catholic Church, GRA, Effurun Reverend Father Magnus Alim, the CEO of Casa De Pedro Hotels, Effurun, Chief Peter Asagba , Chief Dennis Omovie , Chief ( Hon) Evelyn Oboro, Chief Hope Akasa, Chief Peter Ifie, Dr ( Chief ) Robert Ejiforma, the President General of Uvwie General Improvement Union ( UGIU), Chief Austin Ukuwrere ,the representative of the Seriki ( leader ) of Arewa Community in Uvwie Local Government Area, Alhaji Idris Abdulamid amongst others.

They all described the event as wonderful and great. Some of them prayed for the long life, good health and prosperity for the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom.

The Uvwie monarch in his response thanked God for the achievements recorded since he ascended the throne. He also thanked chiefs and people of Uvwie Kingdom, Delta State and Uvwie local government council, corporate organizations and non indigenes for their support.

The event marking the 12th coronation anniversary of the Ovie monarch started with a thanksgiving mass at the St Jude Catholic Church, GRA, Effurun
It was not only a Christian affair as two members of Arewa Community in Uvwie local government area, Alhaji Aminu Abubakar and Malam Daladi Kasim also said special Muslim prayers for the traditional ruler.
